Dupe List Checker FAQ — Roblox Grow a Garden
Everything you need to know about how the Dupe List Checker works, what counts as a match, and how to interpret results for suspected duped pets in Grow a Garden.
The checker compares your pet’s Age and Weight against a curated list of known or reported duplicates. It also compares computed Hatch Weight and aged weights to catch pets that only match after accounting for normal growth.
We show two sections:
- Exact matches — one of:
- Exact matching age and weight.
- Exact match while aging up.
- Near matches — within your tolerance by:
- Weights are within tolerance.
- Hatch weights are within tolerance.
- Weights while aging up are within tolerance.
Use the smallest value that still accounts for rounding and expected calc drift (e.g., 0.01–0.03). If you get too many near matches, lower tolerance; if none appear but you suspect a dupe, raise tolerance slightly and re-check.
Hatch Weight is the modelled weight at age 1 derived from your input age/weight. Comparing Hatch Weight helps catch pets that have aged up but originated from the same weight at hatch, which is a strong dupe signal.
We simulate normal calculated growth using the weight formula. If your pet grows to the same (or near the same) weight as a listed pet at another age, we flag it as an exact/near match while aging up.
- Exact: High confidence the pet is a duplicate or from an identical generation path.
- Near: Possible dupe; verify with stricter tolerance, additional data points, or multiple matches across types (weight, hatch, aging).
Yes. Causes include rounding differences, data entry mistakes, buffs/mutations affecting readings, or legitimate convergence (two legit pets landing near the same weight). Always cross-check with multiple criteria and tighter tolerances.
The list is a community-curated list compiled from submissions and validated reports. Entries may be updated or removed as evidence is reviewed.
Submit: pet Type, Name, Age, Weight, screenshots, and any transaction evidence via Discord. For removals, include proof of error (video, logs, or additional measurements).
No. Your inputs are only compared locally in the browser session.
We display weights in kilograms and round to 2 decimals for readability. Internally, comparisons use your tolerance and may compare rounded values for “exact while aging” to avoid floating-point noise.
The checker only shows publicly and user-submitted known duplicated pets.
